US Airways Nov 5 New Hires

I was wondering if anyone here is in the first new hire class? Does anyone know what aircraft and bases were assigned this week?

I believe there were only 5 people in that class - all East furloughees. At least initially, they were all going to the 737, but I haven't confirmed that since last week.

When do they expect to start Newhire classes, not just furloughees. I understand they have already started the interview process, anyone know when these folks can expect to start training?

I believe there were 5 returning furloughed guys who all went west and 8 new hires who all went to the 190.

I know for sure there were 8 new hires and they are the first new hires other than the America West poolies who waited around for several years.

On the last bid award, there were 11 "new hires" in PHL. These were all PHL 190 FO positions... These were below all the formor CEL Pilots. I believe these were the AWA poolies... I have no info on the NOV. class... I'll post when the next bid award comes out...

I know a j4j guy being released from the "hold" that is in a 11/26 class. he thinks his class will be a mix of j4j guys (comming off hold) and street newhires.

does anyone know about a filter used before choosing candidates for the interview? If so, what total time are they on?? Is it still people over 6000tt????
