Yea, but give me $300,000 a year and and a choice to fly either a brand new A320 or a "junky old 737", I'll take the 737 myself.

Oh yeah, the bus is plush and all that stuff, but big deal, so is my living room. I'd rather fly an airplane that talks to me(737) versus one that stares at me blankly and expressionless(320).

As Archie Bunker would say, its irrevelant. I'm expecting the order to be with Airbus.

But vetrider......the A320 talked to me every leg I flew. It said "Retard, retard...."

And I said: "No! You're the Retard, AB!!!"

All the 737 ever said to me was WIND NOISE! It's loud at .73M I'd hate to hear it at .80, NG speeds. EFF THAT!

BC

You should know that... it's like SCOPE for your ass.
You would know about ass, you kiss an awful lot of it!

Do you have a relevant point to make regarding the preoccupation of pilots with crew food, uniforms and airplanes rather than pay and days off?
That you're still a prick! I see you still enjoy chiding others!

Guess not. Enjoy your ride.
I'm enjoying it. Now go back and stock that airplane and make sure that the toilet is cleaned. Oh and my bags need to be put into the cargo. Chop chop boy! Move it!

You do have a point about the noise, no argument there. But all the same, I'll still take it over the bus. I like a little more tactile feedback personally. All this contract, pay rate, work rule stuff is an unavoidable part of our industry, and I'd never suggest just rolling over and taking anything, but at the same time I still remember why I wanted to fly airplanes when I grew up. I can't help it, the bus does nothing for me.

Anybody think it's possible that parker would work a deal for a sizable aircraft order but somehow tie the financing to labor costs remaining at a certain level. Then he could come to the pilots and say if you accept this turd atleast you'll be underpaid and fatigued in fancy new planes however if you vote it down no new 787's/350's..Didn't something similar happen at AirCanada?

The timing seems a little fishy to me. Right as the senioirity lists are merged and a new contract is being heatedly debated a 'big order' is under review.

What are you talking about? The MCDU on the Bus always called me an INVALID!!

Ok man... The war is over. Newsflash: The UAL/AAA merger was shot down over 6 years ago. Find a new chalice to hoist. This one is a bit old and moldy. In case you missed the outcome; BOTH airlines lost.

Really...

Oh... and we have our lavs serviced by ground techs too. I have never serviced a lav to date, and will never.

Shall we post iron clad opinions next about really important topics like... who had THE best uniforms of all time: PAA or Braniff? No?
