Two of the male fa s are protesting

This is all thats on the hub: (and I dont know what 'it' is, im sure it is something stupid though. The Airways board seems to be very unprofessional in their announcements

http://forums.flightinfo.com/images/homepage/its_coming_branding1.jpgDO YOU KNOW? HAVE YOU HEARD? IT’S ALMOST HERE . . .
Employees around the system are learning more and more about what it is as each day passes. Soon we’ll all be able to share in it. That’s because Tuesday, August 8, we’ll all be celebrating it together. Think you know what it is? Maybe so. If not, you will soon. Your manager or supervisor will share it with you and then, it’ll be up to you – to US, really. All of US. Get ready.
Don’t know what it is? Find out tomorrow in About US.

US is going back to the old FA hiring requirements after firing the whole lot of the current FAs. New prerequisites, 18-25 yo, weight 105-120lbs, 8-10 on a scale of ten, and finally, you have to be female and like to help people.

What a concept?!?

That would certainly help load factors. Thats what Herb did at Southwest. Well that and free liqour. They should look into that too.

Okay............ You guys.... The new US Airways uniforms will be a silver jumpsuit with a red 'V' on the front with Silver Boots!!!! US Airways is looking into the future and watchin all the sci-fi's that what the future holds.... and the Future is Silver Suits and Boots!!!!
No more individuality..... Everyone is the same!!!

Enjoy the new Uniforms!!!!!!!!!

My favorite part is "Delta is not interested in a merger at this time." Yeah, you think? I bet those Delta people would love to be inserted into the seniority list at USA right after those America West pilots and after Delta took huge concessions. Well, I know that this is the mgt for Delta speaking and not their MEC, but still.

Whats funny is that Delta is gonna ask for more cuts soon!!!

Yeah, it's been like a whole week since Delta's money problems were in the USA Today Money section's headlines. Maybe tomorrow.

Obviously not a good idea for the express folks, especially Dash drivers in the summer time. Imagine... A senior Dash captain, complete with "robust" waistline, leaving his sweltering aircraft at the end of a long day in his new silver jumpsuit... Steam escaping from every seam... What would the discerning passenger think?

Bingo. The captain is a baked potato.

LOL!!!

Aug 08 we all get to go for a ride with DP in his new Ferrari!

I read that PSA is going to move back to San Diego and fly some old MD-80s... with the flight attendant hot pants coming back!!

"US Airways said the quarterly results will allow them to pay out $36 million for employee profit sharing, a first for the merged company."

That's probably it. Course, if you take 36 million and divide it equally among 10000 workers (WAG), it's only 3600 bucks. Better than a kick in the nuts, I'll grant you that.

Of course, it probably won't be an equal distribution; you can be sure upper management will get the biggest percentage cut, and the scraps get smaller on the way down the totem pole.

At least they seem to be on the right track to recovery.

I am probably easy to impress, but if I got a four figure profit sharing check as a WO employee I would probably sh*t myself with delight.

Won't happen. Anyone remember when US Airways sent us the Christmas Cheese? I would expect something more along those lines.

...I did turn it into one heck of a macaroni dish though. MMMMM....

I've been hearing they are going to anounce casual Friday's. Flip Flops and Hawaiian shirts all around! Oh, and the aviators will be mandatory.

The announcement, I believe is building the hype to their new corp. slogan. I make US fly. or some crap like that. Hr/marketing took 6 months to develop this, and has even created a new video for us. I would imagine the WO's would get it too. Either case, it's supposed to bring the east/west together and make us one happy family. (while mgmt continues to use cost neautral contract, meaning someone is taking concessions) and dougie cashes out about 9million in stock options, AND just announced a 3% or better pay rasie for all mgmt at pay grade 23 and above. meanwhile he wants PSA to fly 900's for a frozen raitoed pay rate, etc etc etc etc.....

Anyways, supposedly we will be seeing video's in the mail (or on the hub) and some new buttons, and id thingys and what not. They got the time and money to spend on this crap, to tell us we are now a business casual airline, but they don't have the money to pay the peons......same crap....different mouth saying it in a different manner...

Eeeest syeeeed, homie! Fo' evaah!

I could use a few hundred bucks from the profit pandering, screw the slogan.

Oh....as for the profit sharing for the WO's......well I think in the About US, it stated WO's are under a seperate program, (who knows what that means)

As for the 36 million. The pilot contract states they get 35% of that. The F/A's get 14% of that. Then there's whatever the CWA/IAM etc negotiated. The profit sharing was split up depending on how much of the total target in concessions each group gave up during BK2.....

So without seeing the actual "program" that the WO's are on.....who know. Maybe get a reduced size block of cheese???

Also, any catch that parker was pleased we are profitibale, and all managers are going to start getting pay raises?

The cat (rat) is out of the bag. Unfortunately, it's just a stupid slogan with pins and lanyards to boot.

Read all about it on the Hub :puke:

This is on the regional board because of the two U.S. Airway's wholly owned airlines, piedmont and psa. Whatever happens at the mothership affects us.

This just goes to prove that if you give a pilot some money that wasn't expected, they'll find some way to complain about it.
