Us Airways has lots of potential even without the rumor of the American merger. With that said if Airways and American merge they will be the largest airline in the world and will be in a position to really make some huge profits.

Us Airways has lots of potential even without the rumor of the American merger. With that said if Airways and American merge they will be the largest airline in the world and will be in a position to really make some huge profits.

As currently proposed, they will also be the largest operator of Express jets, with the largest number of different pilot groups at contract carriers flying code share, which means the profit is NOT certain to be distributed to pilots.

Get an interview and a job offer first before you spend too much time speculating.

There is nothing to fear here either way. Merger or no merger.

Even under LOA 93 life is not bad. Truth to be told, it's mostly the west types that yap about how bad life under LOA93 is yet they are not even under it.

LO93/USAIR is still far superior to any stinking regional gig anywhere, and sooner or later LOA93 will be gone. And its looking to be sooner rather then later.

The smart money is on getting hired at the front of this retirement bubble. It's going to be the quickest upgrade to Captain of all majors.

I hope you are right but I disagree with respect to the upgrade. The combined airline could very well have 8000 pilots 10 years from now.
