Good link. US Airways fail? Like the article says, when you look at size currently they're the second most profitable behind ALK. Even with US's high debt load they're sitting a heck of a lot better than American. With 2/3rds the pilot group under slave labor they're sitting pretty. Will they fail? Maybe, but several others will probably go first.

Anyone can tell you that US Airways in 2003 and 2005 was not going out of business. At least that is what I have been told over and over again the last 4 years.

(My memory of the situation is completely different.)

They have guaranteed flying right now. How about US pays it back then gives the flying to someone else. Who's going to hire AirWiskey as a feeder? Answer: AirWiskey would be gone and liquadated in less than a year.
