That's a good looking machine right there... and here comes the boolsheet from the peanut gallery... and I was too late.

Good looking airplane.

Sure pay isn't great for it right now, but lets not forget two very important things: 1. US Airways is operating under their second concessionary contract post-9/11, and most importantly, THEY ARE BEING FLOWN BY MAINLINE PILOTS. The most important thing to me (and should be to everyone) is that those airplanes don't say "Express" down the side. The pay can and will be raised later...

Mainline pilots, eh? It may have changed but can't all the J4J guys on furlough (and the rest of them , too) bypass a recall if it is for a seat on that airframe? This means that most of the J4J furloughees would probably rather sit left seat on an RJ with a decent sched. than take a recall to right seat on this thing. Why would they have written that in to the agreement if they really felt like it were up to caliber for the likes of them?

But, yes, thank god it's not at MESA.

1. Good that it's at mainline.

2. Rates. If someone has them, please post whatever Airways was paying for the F100 back around 2000. THEN do your comparison. It's the closest airplane to compare it to.

3. Don't forget to factor two concessionary contracts on top of it. Take up to three pages to figure out how that should be done. I'll check back in awhile.

Looked strange for a minute, and then I noticed there was no Express on the side. That led to much rejoicing. Hopefully the other mainline carriers will follow suit.

Does anyone think down the road it may be "economicly fesible" for US mainline to operate the E-170, you know since its a common type an all.

NO Express on the side!! The pay is rough.... yes....but at least its at a mainline! Im not flaming, Im at a regional, however I do not want to stay here for life, and realize that planes like the 190 going to regionals = me( and 1000's of other pilots) staying there for their entire career! Just looking forward! :-)

Its a start. Keep those planes at mainline. All of the jets should have been mainline jobs.

first year pay on the 190 is better than 1st year pay on any other airframe. Second year on is where the difference shows up. What is the seatlock on this gonna be for new hires 2 years, 3 years?

My God, those pay rates are horrible.

What surprises me is how low the pay rates are on the 757/767 and the bus.
