There was a thread talking about the US Airways App. process and the new bid award that just came out. I was gonna post the info from the bid and couldn't find the thread. It was moved to general aviation... Really? So the mods think that a pilot coming on this site looking for hiring numbers and open positions at a major airline should look in general aviation? What a F'ing idiot...

Anyway, there are 133 unfilled positions on this bid. 36 on the E-190, and the rest on the 737 and Airbus.

Open positions by base:

PHL

E90 - 36
A/B - 26
737 - 6

DCA

A/B - 14

CLT

A/B - 26
737 - 25

While I don't necessarily agree with the move. I suspect the mods may have found away to deal with the East vrs West BS. If everyone can play nice maybe this one will stick around.

no, a Hawaiian Airlines interview thread also got filed there recently..

I've got a message to Michael about this..

What's up with all the "relatively" senior guys bumping into the 190 CA positions? Last bid it went junior (99 to 04 DOH) now it goes late 80's DOH.

Are you reading Bid 13-1 award?

The most junior 190 Capt is the same guy. 2004 DOH.

1999 hire date is most junior A330 FO.

Mid to late 1980 DOH is 76, AB320, and 73 Capt.

Everyone move up dramatically.

The A330 FO has a Jan. 1999 hire date.

I'm sure he was reading the same award. I think you mis-understood his question. He realized the same 2004 hire was still the junior CA. He asked what was up with all the more senior guys bidding onto the position? This award saw 16 new 190 CA's, All are senior to the last guy and all could have held the position before on previous bids...
