The info from UPSer is the latest rumor going around the ranks. What really happens, no one knows. HR doesn't know either because they get their marching orders from ATL. There was a different rumor on airlinepilot.com that was rosier than the prognostications on this board. There may be conflicting views on upcoming hiring all depending on who you talk to that day. We'll all know soon enough. Hang in there, poolies!

apparently, UPSer (also known for multiple banned users) posts flame bait...which, i think, means the person posts in hopes of getting a reaction from you. Personally I wouldn't give his posts much thought, cred or consideration.

FLX757 calls him out quite often.

Actually, I really think he/she is a pilot for UPS (either that or someone who knows a management or line pilot very well). He/she definitely knows a lot about UPS.

only 16 more! wow that will be 20 too many- over staffed. lets have another displacement bid, a furlough then hire 350.

UPSER - “…I met the lady who is the head of HR for the airline on my last trip, her
name is Laura Roybal, she is Phil Donohues boss…”

I agree with Mega, Ms. Laura Roybal did represent UPS in Nashville during the Women in Aviation seminar just a few weeks ago. He/she seems to know lots of UPS “inside” information not to be working there.

Not only that, but when he/she was 410dude, he/she PM'd me about 5 times saying that he/she was "interested" in working for UPS and asking me questions about it. The interesting thing was that he/she also kept asking me what my DOH was and what airplane I was on. Then he/she thought he/she had it figured out and posted what he/she thought was my name on the forum (although it wasn't my name, it was my friend's). Obviously, he/she has access to the seniority list.

Still interviewing and if they score higher that the poolies, they will get a class.

So HOW DO I GET AN INTERVIEW?
Who do I call? ;)

anyone else find it concerning that big brother brown is only hiring about a 3 month? who is going to staff the new airbus, the 744, 380 and md-11's. lets not forget the menlo flying starting in Jun/Jul. (reminds me of the story of the 5 lb. bag and 10 lbs of poo--well you know the story).

(anyone that does get a vote at the TA- read past the retro. i guess i mean SCOPE! read it -don't let someone with an agenda to squirrel it past you. scope.)

I know--there is no TA - yet. me thinks i am standing downwind of something in the air.

That is just the way UPS does business. RIght now May 4th the staffing levels are fine. God forbid they look ahead and hire for the future. Without a contract, look for things to be stagnant. Once it is finally said and done, you will probably see a deal to transition the guys who want to retire to slowly get out and hiring to slowly pick up again.

I'm sorry- I think that you said the "staffing levels are fine."

hmm- I guess I will leave it at that. just fine.

have a fine day.

OK the staffing levels seem to where the company wants them at this moment in time. Ya fine with that???????? Have a finer day.

Latest rumor, although it comes from a reliable HR-source. Hiring 5 a month until the contract is signed. They will probably have to scramble after that time to compensate for the FE-exodus. UPS is also looking in every dark office for management pilots they can train as FE on the different fleets, sounds like the company is getting ready for a signed contract .... lets hope.

Chears!!
