I sympathize with your plight and think it's a terrible way to start your experience with Brown. I also understand your being cautious in not getting your hopes up. But I think you'll be out of the pool within 2 months of a TA being reached, which hopefully is in May.

I'm hearing from some of my UPS buds that your EB may be "caving" to a certain extent to get a deal done soon to distract from criticism of your EB president. You may get a TA but my buds there have very high expectations and they are not certain that the current EB will be able to meet them.
