So you are against UPS making a $1 BILLION expansion in SDF?

Not at all. More power to them. I would just like to see them come to the table and honestly negotiate a fair contract with their pilots. I was just pointing out how quickly they can settle details of a HUGE financial expenditure when it is in their best interests. They don't seem to understand that having good labor relations is also in their best interest. They forget how many customers they lost after the teamster strike in '97. I'm not saying our situation is any better, but at least we are still having active negotiations with our company.

It's amazing that UPS can settle a billion dollar issue in only 53 days but they can't come up with a fair offer for their pilots after ?! years.

I was thinking the same thing when I heard about that. :)

You guys need to understand UPS. Settling the contract with the pilots right now has very little benefit to them. The contract will be resolved when the bottom line gets affected. Unfortunatly, even with a few informational pickets, the IPA has not been able to worry customers or investors enough to hurt UPS. As far as the expansion project, it is a win win for UPS and local and state governments. When everyone is working for the same goal, things get done rather quickly. The city and state love UPS and do everything they can to make them happy.

If we can do it at NetJets, I'm sure UPS pilots can also.

STOP moving the planes! Then and only then will you see management run to the table.

Not to belabor the point, but can anyone find a graphic depicting the planned expansion? Curious to see where the new ramp and 3 new sort buildings will be.

It's amazing that UPS can settle a billion dollar issue in only 53 days but they can't come up with a fair offer for their pilots after ?! years.

It can be over very quickly with a mit of... motivation. Management will NEVER settle with you absent a reason.

Crews flying trips flawlessly and on time is not the motivation I write of.
