By the way, where is the best place to get interview / sim prep for UPS?

Personally I think Adam Hughes does a great job with UPS prep (HR and sim). I heard EmeraldCoast is doing a great job too, but UPS is Adam's specialty (he lives in Cincinnati)

Good luck!

Ps. I do not get any kickbacks from him but I do owe him my job! :)

I got turned down by UPS last November, waited the six months and reapplied in May (just before the window closed). Haven't heard anything from UPS since.

My friend interviewed last year and got turned down. And he had letters from 6 or 7 UPS pilots that he trained at a previous employer! So who knows?

Also, I talked to another UPS pilot recently and he said they really want pilots with heavy time, meaning 757 or heavier. He said the last few classes most had heavy time from Kallitta and other similar cargo carriers.

I've got ten years of heavy widebody international experience. I still haven't recieved anything after my application was acceped and made active. Hmmm. Maybe the fact that I'm 57 might have something to do with it! LOL.

Not sure about that, they hire pilots in their 50's all the time, as a matter of fact had one in his early 50's in our class. When did you apply? Maybe they wonder why you didn't apply years and years ago having such a great resume? Like I said, I don't know the answer but I do wish you luck.

Thanks AV8OR for the kind words. It is hard to leave a widebody Captain slot to start all over again at the bottom of the list, and Brown hasn't been hiring in numbers during the ten years I was flying.
I kind of filled the app as a lark, just to see if they had any interest. To my surprise they accepted it. I'm not sure I'd go if offered a job, because of the drop in pay. If the age 65 deal was more firm, I'd go, but I don't see it happening yet.Good luck to you.
