Does anyone have any info on the UPS reps that are going to attend the AirInc seminar this weekend. I have heard that its Phil D., who is supposibly the head recruiter. But he is not scheduled to attend. Do these folks have any pull in granting someone an interview? Just wondering if its worth going. The UPS reps attending are: Buz Thompson, HR Technical Recruiter; HR Recruiters Sharnika Chandler and Larry Rosa; Capt. Larry Parker, Thanks.

FWIW, It has been my experience that the list of people attending can change at the last minute. Kit's info on the website is not always 100% accurate (imagine that!!)

For a line pilot position a recruiter can have some input regarding an interview, however you still need at least one person recommeding you.

For a management position though, forget it. You will need high up sponsors just to secure an interview for this position. Even with the interview, your odds are pretty slim.

If you're after a line position, then the Air inc is worth it. For a managment pilot position save your money, get a few lunar landings, and then you might become competitive.

Go for it! I don't know if I would pay the Air Inc Kennel fee to get in but maybe you could corner them in the actual hotel or call them. Realize too, management guys are despised by a lot of the line guys. I think they are jealous. But hey, it's fat paycheck!

Hyeflyin: I know Buz and Larry Rosa. These guys have pull and it certainly wouldn't hurt to attend these seminars and get some face to face time. I believe you have a recommendation or two in there (if I am not mistaken)
so you may get an interview out of it. Stay away from the management positions as you will have no life and no time to spend your money. Leave that to Uppercrust's buddy and the likes.

V....it's a flightinfo requirement that anytime anyone asks a question such as "how do I get on with airline XYZ", at least one jacka** has to get on and say something like "you have to have ta tas" or "grow breasts". The only ones I ever hear b!tch about minorities getting hired are the lazy a**es who don't have their apps in with any airline and think airline XYZ will call them because their flying penis is so superior to anyone else because they are the almighty white entitled male.
