There are always rumors about UPS. IE: buying the 747-400, UPS buying Polar, UPS getting the 777, you name it, its out there.

Do you have any new info that is confirmed and bankable??? whats the info and whos your source??? Thanks BBDC8

Well, to add to the rumor mill............there are 5 or 6 airplanes coming almost immediately, then another 5 or 6 should come at a later date. Will these replace the older 100's and 200's, I don't know. But, the new ones will be on the property soon.

Hate to say I told ya so. Info was from what I would consider reliable. I heard the same numbers as Brown Cow. Enjoy em Guys and Gals.

Add another fleet type to that used car lot we all call UPS. 727,757,767,A300,747-200,MD-11,and DC-8. Did I miss any?

We'll like I said, nothing substantial to verify this "reliable info" except a "Very reliable source" which for UPS means nothing. Ill eat crow when UPS makes an "official" announcment regarding the 747-400, until then, Im not buying it.

PS I have been saying for months that UPS will buy -400's and the 777. Its not that I dont agree with you on the fact that UPS will be getting them, I just disagree with you regarding the time line and the word of your "very reliable source" meaning anything from UPS... Remember, UPS is gonna float rumors to try to get all us IPA guys amped up and in a positive mood. IPA pilots in a positive upbeat mood fairs well for UPS in regards to a contract proposal. Dont take the bait... stay unified and only get excited about 747-400 and 777 when They show up on the property or UPS makes a official announcment...

Heard the same thing flying last week and that maintenance management were already in school. Total number of -400’s to be delivered by the year 2008 will be 25-27. We still seem to need a lot more lift but what it will be is still a big question. More 767 or maybe 777. Care to guess?
