I'm ok with this and as I said before nothing personal against the Mesa pilots, but shady business practices will not be tolerated. That said your welcome on my jumpseat now. Glad this has been clarified.
Just spoke with Ken Mayfield. The info is somewhat incorrect. The Co. will be pos spacing pilots from their HI domiciles to Honolulu for the meeting. They will of course also be providing hotels for pilots not based on Honolulu. The pilots were released early from their mainland domiciles in order to make it convenient for them to travel. They are responsible to travel themselves to their domiciles, the co will then take over travel from there as contractually required.
The co has planned a lot of gatherings/dinners for the pilots while in Honolulu.
Please correct this info w/ Nat'l & the Aloha/Hawaiian so this doesn't result in a JS war.
Apparently, some of what was included in Mesa Chief Pilot, Ken Mayfield's, letter that has been circulated on this webboard was incorrect. Mesa will be providing positive space tickets to its pilots between their outer-island domiciles and Honolulu for all required company travel.
All Mesa pilots who are now Hawaii based accepted their bid voluntarily. And as per Mesa's ALPA approved contract, Mesa will NOT be providing positive space travel to those pilots for their initial positioning from their mainland homes to their new "voluntary" Hawaii domiciles.
I hope this answers questions the pilot group might have on this issue.
