If I am only able to go on Saturday, will i be able to talk to everyone i want to talk too? That would be Delta, American, USairway, United. Also, is this a full blown job fair where they accept resumes or is it just a meet and greet.
Thanks

This is my concern as well. I only want to go for one day. Would that be enough time to register and meet the three or four airline reps that I want to see. The exhibit hall is only open from 1PM to 545PM on the day I want to go. I've been to job fairs before where I've stood in line for 3 hours to meet the airline reps.

Everything about the fair is tax deductible.
Invest in your career. The info you get direct from the recruiter is more valuable than any hookup, real or perceived. Most of us have stood in those lines for hours- prioritize your airlines- be opportunistic if you see a short line-
I always had the mentality that I would do everything I could to get the job- extra effort is appreciated. Go in with a plan, be flexible with it, and spend some time in the blue suit getting in interview mode

Btw- I once had a recruiter who walked down the line, passing out applications, quick looking at resumes- caught me by surprise when she asked me a few interview type questions right there in line- in front of everyone.

Be ready for anything.

Lots of men go to the WIA conference and lots of white folks go to the OBAP conference as well.

US Air is hiring. Atlas is hiring. United is accepting applications. Delta is accepting applications. JetBlue is hiring. FedEx is hiring. Virgin America is hiring. Alaska is hiring. Hawaiian is hiring. Spirit is hiring.

I'd say the time to get your face in front of a recruiter is NOW.

Correction...the L-Cal portion of United is currently actively hiring and has been doing so for a while. New hires off the street are already in training. FYI

I went to it in 06 with 3 friends and all got hired where they wanted to, I am not saying women in aviation was the reason but it sure didn't hurt to get all that face time with the recruiters. We spent roughly 2 hours at the fair and had a great time talking with every one. I had never even filled out an Air Tran app and they called interviewed me and offered me a job at the same time CAL did, so I can say for sure the reason I got the Air Tran call was from the job fair.
