Sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

M

It's the Continental Uniform........it sucks. Now we can all look like most of the RJ pilots. Zero thought went into it.

Don't you guys have a uniform committee?

Regards,
Fr8-

I'm still amazed anyone signed off on the embroidered wings. It's one of the tackiest things I've ever seen, even if it's easier to not have to pin wings on your shirt... Not worth it.

That's the only good thing....They have done away with the toys r us pilot shirts.

What's not to like? It brings out the third world dictator in all of us. All we need now is shoulder braids.

Does it really suprise you? If you went to any crew room you got a look at them late last year.

On a different note I rode on AA recently. Funny how they are already using iPads for jepps with a suction cup holder like Alaska yet we have been told ours have to be hard wired and a bracket mounted in the plane. Anything pilot related will always be an after thought at United.

AA also has a sweet app they can use on their phones. Once logged in they can view all paperwork while having lunch or on the van and have it printed at nearest gate so when they walk up its already printed.
But then again they got the full use ipad with 4g capabilities not just wifi only locked down POS

Instead we have a team who decide to make things rosey by putting "Courtesy of our customers" on pay checks and handing out "It's my job" pins

It's a sad excuse for an airline

On the UA side we can do all of that already. I am sure that once we are "harmonized" to match CO we will lose that ability.

It looks just like any other pilot uniform. I don't see what all the fuss is about. Just your standard bitching and moaning.

From the AA side, where the grass is greener because of the brown squishy stuff between my toes and the buzzing of green bottle flies, here are some observations:

Points to finally getting the iPad for total use. It still doesn't make up for the decade plus of not having ships pubs and making each pilot update as many as 4-5 Jepp books plus the MEL that maintenance was incompetent in revising that the company then gave it to us to revise for free.

The suction mount basically sucks. It's great for maybe a first generation, east european vacuum tube taxi GPS, but it blocks vision and use of the sunshades (if installed). There are better options. They also "de-suck" without much effort.

APA has an easier, simple interface hat I use. The company one is not bad. Not sure about getting the FP printed. Maybe 1 in 50 go-getter agents. Usually it's just another fight for a crappy 1980's dot-matrix printer because a few agents still can't figure out after 30 years why an annoying pilot is in their presence and disturbing their running the airline ;)

"Courtesy of of Customers"

Better than "Cost Center" which was the only thing in the address window besides our names until they stopped paper copies.

What color bottle flies do you guys see the most?

I never knew that. Your right it will probably go away

You have grass? I think we have turf. Not the good stuff the cheap plastic kind from Home Depot

Here on the Cal side I get to carry and update an ipad, jepps, flight manual. I'm guessing you deleted the tracking app that was put on there. At least you can put angry birds on. I can't even get usa today app on mine which should be a requirement. Sorry room 1467.

You at least have something.

It may have been the APA interface with the tabs. He pulled up the paperwork and said"watch this" it started printing. Of course the gate agent was wondering who was printing but at least he didn't have to arm wrestle for a terminal. He may have lost then. UAL side still uses dot matrix/ribbon. Cal side uses laser so now we have twice as many printers that don't work. Making copies!

Yellow due to the yellow fever from all the Mosquitos not flies

Continental's embroidered wings aren't half as awkward as every United pilot wearing high water pants...

United had a great uniform. To bad.

At least the f/a new uniforms aren't like your avatar. 60 year olds in yoga pants no way. If they could even get a hoof in them. Not to mention all the cat hair.

@ continental.....you SOB, I was in room 1467. I had to then go and steal one from 1421.

@ flops....high waters?? C'mon you are better than that. There must be a sharper insult than that brewing.
