From the AA side, where the grass is greener because of the brown squishy stuff between my toes and the buzzing of green bottle flies, here are some observations:
You have grass? I think we have turf. Not the good stuff the cheap plastic kind from Home Depot

Points to finally getting the iPad for total use. It still doesn't make up for the decade plus of not having ships pubs and making each pilot update as many as 4-5 Jepp books plus the MEL that maintenance was incompetent in revising that the company then gave it to us to revise for free.
Here on the Cal side I get to carry and update an ipad, jepps, flight manual. I'm guessing you deleted the tracking app that was put on there. At least you can put angry birds on. I can't even get usa today app on mine which should be a requirement. Sorry room 1467.
The suction mount basically sucks. It's great for maybe a first generation, east european vacuum tube taxi GPS, but it blocks vision and use of the sunshades (if installed). There are better options. They also "de-suck" without much effort.
You at least have something.
"Once logged in they can view all paperwork while having lunch or on the van and have it printed at nearest gate so when they walk up its already printed.

APA has an easier, simple interface hat I use. The company one is not bad. Not sure about getting the FP printed. Maybe 1 in 50 go-getter agents. Usually it's just another fight for a crappy 1980's dot-matrix printer because a few agents still can't figure out after 30 years why an annoying pilot is in their presence and disturbing their running the airline ;)
It may have been the APA interface with the tabs. He pulled up the paperwork and said"watch this" it started printing. Of course the gate agent was wondering who was printing but at least he didn't have to arm wrestle for a terminal. He may have lost then. UAL side still uses dot matrix/ribbon. Cal side uses laser so now we have twice as many printers that don't work. Making copies!
"Courtesy of of Customers"

Better than "Cost Center" which was the only thing in the address window besides our names until they stopped paper copies.

What color bottle flies do you guys see the most?
Yellow due to the yellow fever from all the Mosquitos not flies

United had a great uniform. To bad.

At least the f/a new uniforms aren't like your avatar. 60 year olds in yoga pants no way. If they could even get a hoof in them. Not to mention all the cat hair.

@ continental.....you SOB, I was in room 1467. I had to then go and steal one from 1421.

@ flops....high waters?? C'mon you are better than that. There must be a sharper insult than that brewing.

Had a legacy United captain jumpseater yesterday. He was wearing sky blue dockers that were about 4" too short and looked like they had been washed with chlorine a few thousand times since 1980. He retrieved his bag from the overhead and then proceeded to walk down the aisle.. towards the back of the plane. Then he realized that that wasn't the exit and turned around. Yep, you read that right... sky blue. I already received 1000 lashes from a few buddies for not getting a picture.

Our DAL Natzi U Boat Commander Uniforms are timeless, classic, hot and uncomfortable. I vote for kakis, golf shirt and boat shoes!

But then again they got the full use ipad with 4g capabilities not just wifi only locked down POS

The AA iPads are 3G capable, however the individual pilot must arrange for and pay for the service. From the company, it is just a wi-fi operable unit.

well this thread was almost a waste until I realized I had to agree with Eagle on some thing, the shirts with the embroidered wings look cheap and I have always hated seeing them on our pilots

Thinking now it might work if you have the printer address #

Tracking app? What tracking app? :D

They need a command center from the "Bourne" movies to find my arse.

Got the five shirts. Nice enough so I used them. Discovered the collar's points are so long they look like they're part of Will Ferrell's liesure suit in "Anchorman," and they continually flip up concave. Back to Sporty's.
