Any truth to a rumor I have heard? I was told by a United pilot that not many that are being recalled are coming back. Also if these numbers keep up that United could be hiring by the end of the year??? Just curious if there is any truth to this ???

Correct, United has seen an increase in the number of pilots bypassing. This could be for number of reasons. Some just wanting to wait for their equipment, base, wait to see how the company is doing, etc.

United recently stopped recalls. They have approx. 1000 to go through to get to the bottom of the list. Then they will start working their way of the senioirity in reverse seniority order.

From everything I heard, I would not expect United to be hiring this year. Maybe in 2007, depends on age 60 and other factors.

:cool:We have a couple of United guys here and they are bypassing the callbacks to see what happens with the "New" United. Can't blame them for that! Look what happened to US Air?:0
