Could someone tell me the junior seniority date at United? I was just thinking about some old friends, wondering if they ever went back.

Thanks

If they were hired sometime in 1998 they might have had a call. No one yet from 99.

Not true, two of my friends were recalled with the original 150. They were hired Feb 99. With all the by-passes, I would guess there creeping towards April hires.

I'm not sure, but I don't think that they have recalled more than 150. Do you have updated news? I was a 7/99 hire and thought that I was still about 300 numbers out. (not that I will be going back on the first call)

That is when my buddy was hired, he was recalleda month or so ago, and bypassed.

Stillflyn,

"NEW RECALL CLASS

We have another update on our ongoing recall process. Today we announced
another class of 15 recalled pilots for September 26 - this is in
addition to the class of 15 on August 29 we announced in July.

The 30 pilots who will be trained in our next two classes will join the
94 that have returned so far this year and the 20-25 we expect to return
from military leave later this year. All told, we will have nearly 150
recalled pilots back to the line by the end of the year, in addition to
those who have accepted recall and gone on military leave. "

I hope that helps, with only 300 numbers or less, your recall will be here sooner then later.

Best of luck in your future

Cheers

Stillflyin, I expect UAL to get back to you on the second pass (after you bypass) faster than most think.

There are some interesting plans brewing for emergence from BK. How much will come to fruition is anyone's guess.
One rumor that is interesting is that AXA (Airbus's financial arm) is waiting in the wings to give UAL a lot of exit financing. Some of that financing is supposed to go toward A-340s. ... this makes the loss of 8 747s more interesting.
Word is that there is a lot of exit financing available; it's just a question of terms.
