United Reviews A350-1000 As Potential 747-400 Replacement

United already has the smaller A350-900 order on the books, so, this could be a part of a bigger deal. Airbus "claims" the A350-1000 would be ready by 2017 but I wouldn't hold my breath. Cathay just ordered something like 25 A350-1000s.

I like the 787 cockpit better. Didn't see an integrated HUD like in the 787. That said, I'd be lucky and happy to fly either the 787 or the A350 during my career...

Or the 747-800 that recently entered production?
