Are you talking about the 4 engine A380 that just recently entered production?
Or the 747-800 that recently entered production?
I'm confused.
Ask QANTAS what competing with Virgin Australia is like.
The best RUMINT I've received is that an A380 burns something like 30t more fuel on segments longer than 7 hours compared with a A380/B747.
The 747 is a good cargo lifter, but see what FedEx thought of the A380 as a cargo aircraft compared to the 777.
