if you're new at ORD and you're asked after landing on 22L to cross 27L do not cross and then stop!! take a right on B go down towards the pad and then stop. here we are following Skywest and now we're on 27L while they stop and an md80 is on a 1 1/2mi final for 27L. controller had a heart attack.

don't stop don't stop don't stop.

Please get your runways straight, they're only 12 different stretches of concrete there. You must be referencing 22R and 27R, not the L. 22R can be tricky because if they LAHSO you on 22R HS of 27R on Charlie, it's a pretty short taxi before you're in the 27R runway area. You could refuse the LAHSO, still be cleared to land, take Charlie and accidently be on 27R before you know it.

If you refuse the LAHSO you still have to hold short of other runways! One night we heard ComAir refuse the 22R LAHSO but were still cleared to land, then ATC had United and AA short final on 27R go around. Don't know if ComAir landed long into the intersection of the runways or took Charlie (6,600' avail to C) and didn't hold short of 27R. I wouldn't think that ORD would keep two a/c on final for intersecting RWY's without a LAHSO on one of them, so I tend to think the ComAir crew messed up at Charlie. ATC or AIM experts comment?

Don't stop (except for a LAHSO or hold short) is good advice. You know you've arrived at ORD when you taxi in to the gate without ever making contact with ground.

According to O'hare. If you hear LAHSO on the ATIS and don't tell Approach right away, they have considered you to accept the LAHSO. Acting like Tower is the first person to tell you to LAHSO is NOT good. And as always: don't stop don't stop don't stop don't stop don't stop don't stop.

If they are running LAHSO on 22R and you refuse it with tower, you will be sent around and revectored for 27R.

Heres a trick... If you accept the LAHSO and screw it up and miss the left at Charlie... DON'T STOP on 22R. Make the next RIGHT turn just prior to 27R... not sure what the taxiway is called though... might be "R". This also works when Tower screws up and gets 2 airplanes stuck on "C" that can't cross 27R and you are the 3rd airplane trying to get your tail tucked in and clear of 22R.

Except on this night they let ComAir continue after they refused LAHSO with the tower.

It is Romeo, but it's the first left after Charlie and after the intersection of 22R and 27R. If you blow past Charlie the only good taxiway to exit the runway is Romeo, or Echo at the end of 22R. Of course you wouldn't want to turn off on 9L (27R) either. Anyways . . .*************************s pilots should always stop and make radio contact with ground, otherwise you could get violated.
