What are you going to fly? They can't park 100 airplanes and not furlough an employee. Unless the top 1000 decide to retire.

When the price of oil hit $140 they made the announcement to plan to park the 100 aircraft. It is good news for now....especially since oil is on the slide....you know, things can change. Don't be sooooo confident of others misfortune.

Can any UAL pilot confirm this has actually happened?

Hey Motch:

If you are asking about less furloughs, apparently it is happening. Don't know for sure how many it will affect (keep their job)or how long it will defer the furlough for others.

If it's about the lawsuit, yes, that's true also.

If it's about the parking of 100 737's, they have started and who knows if they will park 'em all. How can anyone make money with such an inefficient airplane? (sarcasm)

Spoke with ORDFO today. Calls should go out in a day or two depending on where you are on the list.

They were very helpful about the whole thing.

From what I've heard... those or some with furlough dates have been suspended indefinitely... until planning can re figure the furlough dates.... it has bought more time for the inevitable....

I personally don't think all 950 will get furloughed...
