A friend of mine applied to United Aviation in Kuwait to be a Captain on the ERJ. He said he thought he had the job wrapped up but has heard nothing in two weeks. A new advertisement went up on Climbto350.com asking for pilots a few days ago. Anyone have any ideas what this means, if anything? Do they always take forever to hire people for these overseas pilot jobs?

I took a job in Kuwait after the previous Gulf war.

Yes, It takes forever to get anything done. The class structure is so prevelant that it may take 3 or 4 people to sign off on just giving your buddy a phone call back.
