Has anyone had trouble with the TSA taking your liquids, gels, etc, while in uniform? I have some vacation travel coming up and would like to know if I should clear my shaving kit out. Our company tells us we are exempt while in uniform and we do not need to provide proof that we are going to work. If we are exempt then I'll wear the uniform to avoid the trouble.

Thanks in advance!!

oh yeah, Hawaii-specific info would be great but all is appreciated.

I posted a very similar question on the majors forum. Check it out. Lots of good info regarding your question.

Not in my experience

I jumpseeted a while back and had no problem with my travel shampoos and such.
This week I had a paid ticket, and was not in uniform, but my uniform was in my luggage, and I used my ID to go in the crew line. They took 3 travel size bottles from my bag. I asked TSA if they always do this. They responded if you are in uniform you get a free pass on the liquids.

I did not feel it was worth changing for it, I already have to wear the uniform 5 days a week.
