Going to make it a little busy for yourself, don't you think? Just curious, but what does this accomplish, exactly?

It would make one somewhat busy, but having flown with and instructed plenty of 200 hour pilots, I know for a fact your by yourself most of the time anyway. I held no grudge to these pilots, if they could do it, good on them. I didn't particularly like that it was happening and what I thought it was doing to the industry, but at least they went to the bottom of the list and had to do their time to get a shot at the majors. This deal, where they get just jump in front of everyone else, particularly the pilots that has to baby sit their azz so they can get the experience to go to the majors is disgusting to me. Thousands of qualified pilots are furloughed and airline management wants to pull this stunt?

What will it accomplish? Hopefully a bust on their first PC or when they do get to Delta they won't have the skills to pass training.

Is that too harsh?

No, you need to stay in Vietnam, for all of our sakes back home. Just stay there with your friend Dani and enjoy it.

Godspeed!

OYS

C'mon Jenny you know you want to yank my gear for me when you get furloughed, or is there someting else you want to yank? Oys told me you let him yank you.......Weirdo putz!

I decided to skip the 2nd and 3rd page of this thread and just respond. WTF OVER! But hey, Delta canceled the Mesaba flow because they wanted to pick the best and the brightest kids of the richest families who can afford those schools.

That's why I think this will be the norm in a couple years they are going to try and lock up future hiring to people who are not even pilots yet. Not only that but these pilots are going to have little skills to offer delta because they will probably get their interviews as fo's And never have to upgrade. I'm with the above posters this is a huge slap in the face. I'm interested to see what the other poster said about things in the works as well and if it applies to all dci carriers. Not holding my breath

I don't care if Delta hires me or not. In fact, I've never applied. I've flown with some "minorities" who went to Delta whom I didn't feel comfortable with leaving the cockpit to hit the lavatory. The ones I do feel good about are still here, waiting to upgrade. So I say to you- who cares- let's just make sure we (Expressjet) work to make this a better long-term place so you won't feel so cheated when this starts happening
