Hey watch the zipperhead comment.

It dosent get more ballsie than the '04 R1....

397#'s dry w/176hp at the wheel

Yup............

120 in 3rd gear

YES!!!!

Finally 350, something you and I agree on...

That bike is awesomley fast, but handles like an absolute dream.

I entered a slow left hand sweeper just a touch too fast and thought I was done for sure. The nose made slight grab for the outside of the turn, then, before I knew what was gong on, it went straight back to the line I had taken.

Hands down, best bike ever built................IMO

Ride hard, Ride fast, stay out of the hospital...........

yammy v-max,
one of the ballsiest production bikes around,
too much for most people....

but you could say the same for the majority of those zipperheads on their crotchrockets

The Yamaha V-max came out in '85. The design was supposedly inspired by american hotrods, and Yamaha wanted a bike that would haul a$$ in the quarter mile. Incidently, the introduction of the Vmax was also the death sentence for the Honda Magna, which was the reigning powerbike in the 80s.

V4 motor, 1200cc and 150HP. Sounds soooo gooood....

And yes, it has changed very little since it's introduction almost 20 years ago!

Yes the R1 is awesome. Just bought my 04 R6 last week, still a great bike, good balls, not as good as the R1, but I owuld like to live through the summer!
