My neighbor just bought an Ironhorse 'Texas Chopper' model, all black with the softail and manual clutch...nice bike but that clutch is a real b!tch, I believe I would have spent the extra $1,300 for a hydraulic clutch.

Another neighbor just recently bought a custom chopper from a relatively new builder, Swift, he got the 'Punisher' model with a hardtail. Beautiful bike but I believe I would have spent the extra 3 grand on the softail, I rode it a couple of times and the name fits. Hauls some kind of a$$ though.

Good thread. I just rode 176 miles on my Yammaha R-1, up through the Napa valley. Nice ride.

The R1 is the best bike I have ever ridden...

1981 Honda CBX here. 6 carbs, 6 cylinder in-line, 24 valve, dual over head cam. It weighs a ton, has a really forward CG, and is not the best on gas. But it is smooth, it likes rolling on the interstate at triple digit speeds and sounds like a Porsche when I grind the gears.

It also comes with the factory saddle bags and fairing, most people mistake it for a BMW.

My dream machine

This baby will be in my garage in 2 years, give or take...

This is it

Simply the badest bike ever conceived. Period.
