What a joke, we just paid 830 pounds ($1325) to apply for the "free" UK carbon credits (benchmarking plan). This was after we paid 750 pounds ($1200) for the emission plan application.

Are any of the other countries forcing you to pay +$2,500 for their ETS?

Luckily, those nasty socialists wouldn't allow us to sign up as we haven't been to Europe "enough".

I'm so sick and tired of all this crap. Just wait until they pass "Cap and Trade" here in the states.

This is a joke. What's next, a CO2 fee for how much we breathe???!!!

What is the # of trips you are allowed before the "extortion" begins? Also, is based per airplane or company?

Thx-

I have been working on our ETS plan for a while now. I have been in contact with a lot of other operators who are doing the same with differe nt EU countries. We were lucky to be assigned to the UK. Many of the other EU countries are completely disorganized. The UK seems to be the best, they evaluated my application and gave me valuable feedback before I even asked for it. Yeah, this scheme is total BS, but it is reality. Be glad that you were not assigned to France.

Our experience with France was very simple. They accepted ours very quickly w no issues.
