Just heard from one of my company's pilots that United Express pilots are no longer permitted to occupy the UAL cockpit jumpseat. He said the UAL pilot showed him the FOM and he read that this is true. THis was on a domestic flight earlier today.

Anyone else heard anything about this?

UAX pilots are not allowed on the cockpit jumpseats IF there are seats available in the back. If it's full, then they ARE allowed to sit up front.

He said there is a new FOM revision that states states that express pilots are prohibited from occupying the jumpseat. Can any UAL pilot confirm or deny this? Thanks.

Skywest, Air Wisconsin, ACA.....OMC-K priority. May occupy cockpit jumpseat IF no cabin seats available.

If your buddy was with one of the above carriers, the UAL captain (notice small "c") didn't know what the f*&k he was talking about. Sorry.
