UAL getting rid of 45 year old NEW F/A's

The problem is that there are plenty of lard-asses in the cockpit as well... what's being done about that?
I am sorry you can not spend all your time with handsome men in a little cockpit. I am sure that "lard-ass" next to you could not possibly satisfy your sexual urges the way a leather bound chiseled abs pilot could.......WTF.......Why do you need to drag down fellow pilots. We are actually trained to do a pretty tough job. When FA's take a little well deserved ribbing about their unprofessionalism and apperance, WHY do I even need to worry about whats being done about pilot lard asses?

Now if we only could get the senior widebody pilots to take a severance....

One of United's (and other legacy carriers) handicaps is too many pilots getting paid top rates and not working.
Of course they can't compete when they have dozens or hundreds of pilots living off of sick or medical leave.
We point the finger at greedy management rewarding themselves for poor or little performance.
Alpa needs to look in the mirror...

And what kind of jack*** pilot would leave a perfectly good flying job, making 80k and living in his hometown for United? Me.
Back to flipping burgers soon...

looks or age don't matter, it's a FA's attitude and service that create a positive experience. Too many hotties could never do that job well.

When was the last time you were sitting in in aisle seat and got whacked in the head by some overweight pilots a$$? Every time they walked by your seat?

When the overweight a$$ was waddling down to get more snacks, go on break, stow his/her bag while "jump-seating" in the cabin, doing the walk of shame for a/c with lavs in the back. If the pilot's job required them to walk through the cabin, then you can bet we'd be getting hit by a lot of a$$...and not just the one in the pants.
 
United's flight attendants -- agreed on a severance plan for flight attendants who are at least 45 years old and have been employed for no less than 15 years at the airline. Severance pay and travel benefits will be based on years with the company.

That's 60 years of "credit" for an early out. Really no different than what DL just did, year of service and age had to equal 60 to get the "full" offer. It was so popular that they got 4000 to do it (2000 more than "hoped" for) and DL is accepting all 4000.

The education sector has been doing this for years. For those in IL they'll likely know about the 55 and Out program.
