Heard a bit from a Republic guy, that UAL is trying to bill offline pilots for jumpseating...

That can't be true? I can see it with Non-Revs but jumpseats? What else can they take away?

It's a known problem with united express pilots. There's a miss-jive between being able to allow unlimited jumpseats and non-rev benefits.......been happenin for quite a while now.....

Gate agents put you in as a non-rev instead of a jump seat and then they take a fee for it out of your pay check. When I was still doing United Express flights and jumpseating I made it a point to make sure the gate agent had me listed as a jump-seater. I don't think they know the pilots get charged if they don't since it all happens later. I heard they even ding the main line guys for non-reving on mainline while everyone in the mainline or express system can norev for free on any of the express carriers. It's a weird system that will bite ya if your not careful or don't know the rules.

When you call United's automated non-rev number, do not list on it. It will put you into the system as a non-rev and charge you for it.
