I already know ALPA sucks and picketing accomplishes nothing. If the usual suspects feel the need to post that, I've already covered it with the first sentence so no need to post it again.

I just wanted to say that it was great walking with the CAL guys, the Expressjet guys, the AA guys, the Airtran guys, and the others who I likely missed (sorry) the other day in Chicago. After chatting/BS'ing with some of you, all I heard and saw were a bunch of pilots with pretty much exactly the same problems and concerns, except that the shades of their uniforms were different. The event and the turnout, with some guys even going out of their way to commute in so that they could picket in flurries and 30 degree weather, was "refreshing" in more ways than one. At the very least, the event reinforced what I pretty much already suspected about the unity of the group.

It was also good to hear at today's union meeting that one of our more challenging stumbling blocks to unity was settled and is now in the rear view mirror.

Thanks for taking the time to do that, I am fuloughed CAL, probation, or I would have been there as well. I was a bit disappointed that there weren't more UAL guys on their home turf. I think we had about 300 in EWR and 300 in IAH, so I was hoping for at least that many UAL plus the CAL guys that came up. However, thanks for being there.

he-he....the permit only allows for so many pilots as sidewalks can't be blocked, entryways into buildings have to allow for free access, etc. The number of pilots reflected that.

Thanks for showing up ualdriver. I was at the EWR event, I for one am grateful that we are finally focusing our energy in the right direction. I look forward to sharing a cockpit with you one day.

No rat. Not really any place to put it in downtown Chicago.

Could also be attributed to the single digit wind chill that day, maybe? Kudos to those that braved the weather!!!

Hey, lets all unite and start a national union! Oh wait, you guys already have one. Sorry!
