The Headquarters Air Mobility Command at Scott Air Force Base, IL has issued $2.26 billion worth of indefinite-delivery /indefinite-quantity contracts to provide for International Airlift Services.
Figures given are maximums, and Air Mobility Command's purchases over the coming year under these contracts may not necessarily reach the maximum totals. Solicitation began March 2005, negotiations were completed August 2005, and the contracts will end in September 2006. The Alliance Contractor Team in Sterling, VA received a $1.22 billion contract (FA4428-05-D-0004). The team includes World Airways in Peachtree City, GA and at Evergreen International Airlines Inc. in McMinnville, OR. Evergreen International Airlines has earned approximately 200 awards from Air Mobility Command for its support of international airlift services during the Iraq war.
Federal Express Charter Programs Teaming Arrangement in Memphis, TN received an $864.5 million contract (FA4428-05-D-0005). The team includes Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings (parent of Atlas Air and Polar Air Cargo) in Purchase, NJ.
United Parcel Service Contractor Team in Louisville, KY received a $120.7 million contract (FA4428-05-D-0006). The team includes Kalitta Air LLC in Ypsilanti, MI (56%) and North American Airlines in Jamaica, NY (44%).
Miami Air Team (a partnership of Alaska Air and Miami Air) in Miami, FL received a $42 million contract (FA4428-05-D-0007).
Continental Airlines in Houston, TX received an $11.4 million contract (FA4428-05-D-0008).
