Well what if you get that CRJ type and get a job flying a turboprop? I have 2 type ratings and i think it would be a shame to put all that work into a type and then never get to fly the plane. Studying all the memory items and limitations is a pain, at least when you know you will actually be flying the thing you have that to help motivate you. If you get a CRJ type rating but end up getting a job flying a jetstream 41 or something older like that you may not enjoy it as much. It will never be as good as that CRJ you had trained on. Getting a type is WORK. I've studyed for 2 as i said, again, boy it would suck to do all that work and not get to fly the plane.
 
Not that I really support the program, but to answer your question honestly, Air Wisconsin will give you a preferential interview if you do your type rating through the Regional Airline Academy (or one of those places). We've hired a 400 hour guy through that program within the last year.
