Ayou saying they're firing FA's and bringing in a flood of new talent to skew any union vote? Perhaps you could explain how it is that the pilot running the Lounge would have anything to do with this. What would that individual (or individuals) have hanging over them that would cause them to shut down the site? Not doubting you, just trying to glom onto the "facts" here.

As an aside, I'd think the bulk of the pilot group would be happy to see the change in the hiring practices. ;)

As a non-TSA employee, I think you miss out on just how vicious our MGT can be. I didn't believe it either before I came here.
Some people are thinking that the company has a hammer on the guy until things clear up and settle.
I just want it open so I can find more people who forgot to log off at the hotels:D

LOL!! He's a cruel man.... But fair!

I was just missing the link between the TSAlounge and the FA's. Did the FA's start posting on da lounge, too? I haven't looked at it in years.

Yes, the FA's do post on the Lounge. Lately there have been several threads where some of the pilots are telling some of the FA's that they need to vote "no" to what is currently being offered. A lot of history and issues has been brought up in the discussion. There has been a lot of back and forth discussion about it...then one evening 'poof" the board is suddenly and mysteriously closed with no explanation.
It seemed strange. That's why I asked why the Lounge closed in the first place.

Ahhhh... Now it all makes sense. I didn't remember the FA's posting on the lounge.

Hulas and his minions are a real treat.

I heard that one of TSA's ALPA guys were fired and the board was closed by someone (rymes with MARIO) so that there was no one talking about it.

Maybe?..

Then again I also heard that wolverines make good house pets,....

They would have to know that people would talk somewhere...and I would have thought they would rather not have all the dirty laundy aired on a more public site...LIKE THIS ONE! Interesting.

You guys aren't really serious about this crap are you?

- TSALounge was shut down by the person who owns it.

- The reason TSA isn't hiring TWA FA's is because most of them are employed elsewhere now. The ones that came here did so immediately after they were screwed by AA.

Pay attention folks!

Looks like Hulas has a son...

I don't know what happened to TSAlounge. I do know that the Eagle pilots once had a similar web site. It went out of bussiness when the Company threatened to file a lawsuit against its owner. He didn't have the bucks to defend against the Company so he had to close the site.

Strange things happen when people with money threaten people without money. I'm not saying that happened but I wouldn't be surprised either.

Me thinks you protest too much...

Some of the responses on this thread are very enlightening. At least the people who browse the Regionals Forums who happen to view this thread can now see why many of you are stuck flying for peanuts in the "Minor League".

The old saying... "you get paid what you're worth"... well... after reading some of the thoughts and theories and opinions from many of you.... I see that this is a statement that is alive and well even today.

I see why many of you are paid $15,000 - $20,000 a year. Maybe thats all you're worth... maybe management realizes you're dumb enough to work for it.... oh wait... you ARE dumb enough to work for it...LOL!

My only differing opinion is in the term "Professional Pilot". For some of you maybe we should drop the first word "Professional".... and add the word "Pretend".

Where are you A-nus? I am waiting...

I'll bet you are not even a pilot, are you? You seem to have more time at the keyboard than anyone I know. You troll these boards looking for something to express an uninformed and pointless reply to.

Well, I see you listed as active on ths thread....come on idiot. We all want to hear what you have to say. So far you have not said a SINGLE thing to benefit or express even ONE valid point here.

Well?

Your opinion means so much to me. Idiot.

LOL! Ever notice that young children when they write... they write in HUGE letters. And adults that have the emotional control of a child, when they get upset.....well...... they type in HUGE letters as well.

Coincidence... I think NOT.

BTW - My opinion of you should matter... maybe it will encourage you to try and become a winner... rather than a loser.

Just a thought...

Well?

I did.... my point was in my original reply to this thread. You just don't like it when someone smarter than you, that is in control, is able to show a wannabe PUTZ you are and can be....... in HUGE fonts no less!!! LOL!!

God.. I love this!

Is that better A-nus? I edited the size. But I am still waiting to hear your reply. Where, even ONE time have you put something worth reading here? You need attention, don't you....
Poor A-nus. Are the kids at school picking on you, and your parents not paying enough attention to you?
It's OK, I understand that the PC is your only place to try to feel like you matter, by being invisible and causing trouble.
I think Santa will bring you a freind this Christmas, but you need to be a nicer boy, OK?

union busting.....it's that simple. It seems Ironic, that right when the push for "gojet" or Jetgo, whatever the proposed name is, is starting to fire up, the main forum of communication between pilots is shut down.

TooBad, I think you are on to something. Where is the cry for free press and such in these matters? Ve Vill Krush Yer revellion!

I agree. No love lost, no tears shed. From my short but significant exposure to the co. and its environment the mgt. and their methods suck. During my interview, Sanjeev Kumar (you know who I am talking about if you watch BBCAmerica :)) didn't even once make eye contact during the 4 minute interview. They make you feel right at home with their BS poker faces. Sure felt like they appreciated me taking 2-days off and spending $200+ to come see them. Their HQ is ramshackle and their training all paper-based. real bare-bones. Their digs look like a museum for TWA. What a lousy first impression. Not to mention the palatial Holiday Inn. What a fleabag dump! I turned them down. Avoid at all costs!

Could be worse, Buck. I'm guessing you don't know what I mean when I refer to "Schooners". :D

>schooners

nah, but enlighten me if you please. I'm always looking to expand my horizons. Perhaps you can also come up with what letters T.S.A. really stands for :D

Schooners, O Schooners...

Restaurant in the hotel that TSA used to use as the training center/place where FO's pay for their hotel rooms...

They had great fried Ravioli and suitably slutty wait staff... And you could easily stumble back to your room after playing pool and having a few too many Buds...
