All I care to remember about the restaurant is showing up at 610 for their 6 am buffet and waiting and waiting for some nappy 'arrested development' wait staff to bring me some juice and ketchup for my eggs while she stood at the register staring at the wall wiping dishes. After 10 mins I went back to the kitchen and got everything I needed myself (it was a self-serve buffet after all, right?). This is after I passed on the 'Executive Level' breakfast on the top floor (unthawed frozen SaraLee mini-danishes, Jim Jones koolaid and urinary coffee). The concept of a SWA turnaround for people who have places to be still hasn't hit the STL HolInn. Then they expect a tip. Blends right in, TSA-style. 'nuff said

I agree. No love lost, no tears shed. From my short but significant exposure to the co. and its environment the mgt. and their methods suck. During my interview, Sanjeev Kumar (you know who I am talking about if you watch BBCAmerica :)) didn't even once make eye contact during the 4 minute interview. They make you feel right at home with their BS poker faces. Sure felt like they appreciated me taking 2-days off and spending $200+ to come see them. Their HQ is ramshackle and their training all paper-based. real bare-bones. Their digs look like a museum for TWA. What a lousy first impression. Not to mention the palatial Holiday Inn. What a fleabag dump! I turned them down. Avoid at all costs!

Couldn't agree with you more!!!!! I did fly with great crews however!!!!

yeah, and just when you couldn't wait for more, here comes 'TSA, The Sequel': "GObloJETS".

Rumor is, good part of the financing is coming from India.

If your interview was four minutes long, it sounds like you weren't offered a job. But you keep telling yourself that if it makes you feel better.

All the ints were all short, I checked with all the other applicants that day. The int websites also confirm that. I have decent amount of PIC jet time but (later) they offered only FO->CA. No thanks. But maybe you know all that already since you were in the room with me.

Here's a clip of the interview thought we were talking about flying but they wanted to talk about needing someone to 'clean up their act' at TSA. The guy in the suit is the Trng Dir, The woman is the Chief FA and the baglady in white is the HR dir. You know the indian guy behind the desk already.

WhoTF cares what you think, anyway?

Buck:

You turned the job down because they offered you an FO position--not a CA position? If so you're actually the first person that I've known of to admit that they were willingly and actively in pursuit of circumventing an airlines established seniority system. Classy.

I'm currious to know where you're working now.

with 700+ PICJ time, typed in Lear and looking to get out of the corporate 24/7 grind (currently air ambulance) what would you do?

Probably fly another 300 hours and put my app in at Southwest, FedEx, UPS, et al. Though I'm quite sure they would also enforce whatever seniority restrictions their CBAs would afford in regards to off-the-street captains.

Another thing that strikes me here is the fact that you spent all that money and time coming out for an interview without doing the small amount of research that would have told you that Trans States is not hiring, nor have they hired in the recent past, street captains. Even the CQFOs were not street captains.

Classy and bright . . .

Wow, that's impressive!

700 Jet PIC. Hey Moron, we've got guys here with a few thousand hours jet PIC flying as FO's. Ever hear of TWA? You've got some serious Kobe Bryant type issues. "It's my team, mine!!!!"
