This is why CHQ pilots fought so hard for scope covering all RAH flying. They can no longer farm out flying. Hopefully your next contract can reign in this flying as well. When is your contract up?

Contract is up next summer, and we're going to give up a lot if we want to get this flying back

Don't forget about Aug 31 at STL and IAD. Come one come all!!!!

TSA ALPA offered MESA -1%. That would have made them the most "competitive" alright! Some kind of building block.

You stabbed 700 pilots in the back and provided the company with a tool to drive down our quality of life and career potential, Dan. You are not a popular guy in stl and your posting here doesn't help.

Note: This site wouldn't let me post "G-o-J-e-t" as one word. WTF?

With that said, I cannot over stress the importance of continuing to conduct ourselves as the professionals we are. With the help of ALPA National, we will begin a series of legal initiatives intended to demonstrate our solidarity. We will take the high road and we will remain on the high ground. I want to make one thing absolutely clear: your MEC does not support and will not condone any illegal job actions against the Company. Conduct your day-to-day operations as professionally as you have in the past.

On Wednesday August 31, we will conduct informational picketing at the St. Louis and Washington Dulles airports. Your MEC asks that all pilots who can attend do so to show your support for your MEC and your fellow pilots.

In St. Louis we will be meeting at the Airport Marriot Hotel at 7 A.M. We will be picketing throughout the day. In Dulles, pilots are asked to meet at the ALPA offices in Herndon; directions are available on the TSA ALPA website. There will be a shuttle to transport pilots from the Richmond domicile to Dulles Airport.

Please contact a representative for more information or check the ALPA website. We hope to see as many of you there as possible.

Fly safe. Fly your contract.

So all that ALPA has going for them is a informational picket? Is that what is meant as legal inititives? On this board a few weeks ago TSA ALPA supporters were saying that DW himself said there really is no legal way to prevent Go-Jet recognizing the Teamsters. Has that changed? Do you now feel that there is a legal remedy?

Still looks like a long uphill battle ALPA faces using a pea shooter while the other guys have a howitzer.

Good luck.

The informational picketing is just a (probably worthless) device to generate some sympathy from the travelling public. Most of the travelling pucblic probably doesn't know who Trans States or Ho Jet is.

A far more effective strategy would be for the Trans States pilots to start calling the in and out times accurately, let mx items actually be written up at out stations, and stop using their personal cell phones to talk with company.

Now now...any prudent 121 captain wouldn't admit they are flying aircraft with known mechanical discrepancies. Perhaps a old 135 frieght hauler, but don't say it is so. None of us has ever let their chief pilot, MX control, or non-flying corporate members twist our arms. No that would never happen.

And of course when you get caught doing it...guess who they leave hanging in the wind. It is amazing what we do to keep our jobs or perhaps to loose them. Do you think the company is not going to use you for a scap goat?

Most companies think they have us by the short hair since there are so many without jobs and willing to drink the cool aide. Wait while I take a swig of the juice...
