Maybe Denver was great, but anywhere else it's the same A.Holes that were working on their GEDs now wearing their TSA shirts and thinking they're gods.

I WILL NOW HAVE A REASON TO SMILE WHEN I WALK THROUGH SECURITY ....

Feel sorry for those high school kids that will not have a chance to work at McDonalds as ex-TSA employees go back to their rightful place ....

You mean you can't figure out the meaning of those two words on your own? It means I don't like a loaded and cocked handgun pointed at me twice per leg as these macho men put it on their belt. Having a gun in the cockpit does nothing other than create additional safety issues. It's nothing more than viagra for you John Wayne types.

Keep in mind: More drunk FFDOs have tried to go thru security than FFDOs who have actually saved a flight with their weapon.

I agree with TFS. It seems to just be the good ole boys bringing those things into the cockpit, and neglecting their flying to strap on and adjust the bugger. I'll punch anyone who comes in the cockpit, and while I'm not Mike Tyson, I'm sure it'll be quicker than an FFDO's weapon. Not to mention the cockpit door is between the two of us. Just think about the direction that gun is firing for a second. It's a ridiculous concept IMO.

It is ridiculous, but if you work for Jetblue, you will be able to clean the mess up yourself when you land.

Yeah, you go right ahead and punch an intruder that is intent on your death and your aircrafts destruction. He will have a weapon and you will not. Nothing like bringing a plastic knife to a gunfight. And you you really think that our doors could stop a determined attacker you are fooling yourself.

Do you honestly believe that no one on board is going to help out?

Do you honestly?

Do I want you wrestling a loaded gun and pointing it in my direction with someone grabbing at you and me? No.

I'm more concerned about a surface to air missle than another hijack attempt. But I'm not losing any sleep over it, or taking time and money out of my life to put up a false sense of security.

I agree, I'm an ex cop who worked in Cal. and the training you go through for the program was good. I admit nowadays you would be hard pressed to make it through the door, but you never know. You go ahead and punch a dude in the head, see how fast he stops... he would probably laugh at you. I have seen many crews in my 14 years of flying and 99% of them would throw out their arm if they threw a punch!

I'm all for the FFDO program and I am far from a good ole boy. If you don't like the way the person straps on his sidearm tell him. My weapon is pointing mostly down and forward, I don't know who your flying with but I smell Flaimbait

It's not flamebait, and I'm getting a little too worked up about it.

If you want to wear a gun, fine. I just think it's something I wouldn't choose to do or support. But this is America and who am I to stand in your way.

Lastly, another Bush thug family failure.
Uh, dumbass, Bush DIDN'T want the security screeners to be federal employees....the Democrats made certain that they were.

Another failed Democrat plan..we'll add that to the already long list.
