Think about how important that TSA monkey probably thought he was when he was climbing onto those airplanes. He probably shined his brand new cop-style badge and starched his new blue uniform the night before, and told his beat-a$$ wife "someone's gotta do it honey, they need me out there." All the while, when hoisting himself onto that TAT probe that obviously wasn't a handle, thinking about how he's doing this nation a great service.

Were your parents proud when you got your job as a TSA "officer"? They weren't proud, dou**ebag. They were relieved that your GED dumba$$ could get a job.

According to the FBI, federal laws against tampering with aircraft do not apply to the bizarre situation that occurred at Chicago O’Hare Airport on August 19, when a zealous Transportation Security Administration (TSA) inspector decided to “test” the security of unoccupied American Eagle ERJs. After Eagle mechanics saw the TSA inspector trying to climb onto a jet bridge using the ERJs’ TAT probes as hand- and foot-holds, the airline delayed 40 flights and tested probes on nine airplanes for damage. “If not observed by vigilant Eagle employees in Chicago,” American Eagle noted, “the actions of this inspector would have been unknown and could have jeopardized the safety of our customers and crew.” According to a spokeswoman in the FBI’s Chicago office, “We are not investigating this matter. The damage was accidentally done by a TSA inspector. It was determined to be not intentional nor was it a criminal act in any way.” On August 21, American Eagle and the TSA issued a joint statement, assuring the public that the “TSA and American Eagle are working together to achieve the right security results and resolve any security gaps that have occurred.”

Are the airplanes supposed to stun/shock the TSA agent when he's climbing on them? If anything, they were testing the security of all airport ground personel. In this case, it worked. The mechanics saw the moron damaging 9 airplane. After Eagle mechanics saw the TSA inspector trying to climb onto a jet bridge using the ERJs’ TAT probes as hand- and foot-holds, the airline delayed 40 flights and tested probes on nine airplanes for damage. “If not observed by vigilant Eagle employees in Chicago,” American Eagle noted, “the actions of this inspector would have been unknown and could have jeopardized the safety of our customers and crew.” American Airlines mechanics 1 --TSA 0. According to a spokeswoman in the FBI’s Chicago office, “We are not investigating this matter. The damage was accidentally done by a TSA inspector. It was determined to be not intentional nor was it a criminal act in any way.” It's criminal how stupid this TSA agent is, along with all the other TSA agents. Had this agent had a clue about airplanes....he wouldn't have done what he did. But instead he decided to break into an airplane like he did the cars back in the ghetto. All the moron had to do was open the main cabin door. On August 21, American Eagle and the TSA issued a joint statement, assuring the public that the “TSA and American Eagle are working together to achieve the right security results and resolve any security gaps that have occurred.”
TSA Agent Should be dragged into the street and shot in the face. I bet you he's voting for Obama.

Would it be criminal, or punishable if I tried doing the same thing?
Would I get to spend some quality time with the FBI?
I think so.

What we all, and I mean all, everyone working in the airline industry, should do, is apply with the TSA!
And where it says "why do you want to work here", we put something like: want to enjoy complete immunity from dangerous, wrong, and possibly criminal activity.

Freedom from accountability, the burden of education and common sense.

Where do I sign up?

TSA- another fine example of government bafoonery! It's nothing more than "eye-wash" to give some sort of BS sense of security while wasting massive amounts of tax dollars. It's too bad that these clowns won't have to pay one cent for damages and/or the burden of having the schedule completely screwed up.

In order for this "inspector" to access the airplanes, wouldn't he have had to have a SIDA badge? If so, then he had every right to be on the ramp. Where is the security violation?

If he was using the various probes as a ladder to access the jetway, that implies that the jetway was pulled away from the aircraft as per procedure. Where is the security violation?

The FBI's response to this is stunning. It wasn't intential so it's ok? I'm pretty sure that most FAR vilolations by airline personnel are not intentional, yet the FAA is right there, dealing out fines, suspensions, and revocations.

Everytime I go to an airport I see those signs telling me that injuries or death that result from someone damaging an aircraft could be punished with fines, imprisonment and even death. How is this case any different?

tsa got stuck on my airplane the other morning in newport news. they did a "inspection" at 2:30 a.m and had to wait on the aircraft until around 4:30 for the ramp guys to show up because thay could not close the door, yes they opened it. Not sure if the rules have been changed but didnt FAMS have to have a company rep or crew on board to be on the airplane. Guess TSA is bvetter trained.

Right wing stupidity at its finest. Obama didn't create the TSA. Your outstanding Bush administration did, giving them carte blanche to do stuff like this.
I never implied it was the Dems who came up with TSA. I'm well aware of who did.

In the wake of 19 terrorists not violating any of the rules in effect at the time until they acted, taking control of four aircraft it was the Democrats of Congress that demanded Federal screeners. That the Homeland Insecurity Department has blossomed like a plague can be laid on the White House and Congress alike. However the Bush Administration resisted getting rid of low cost contract labor at airport screening...because as time has proven they were no more inept than their high priced federal replacements.
