TSA Clearence

Has anyone dealt with the TSA clearence recently? I submitted my paper work on August 9th and sent the paperwork right away. Still no word from the people in Alexandria. At this point I am running out of time to go and join the ground school which may set me back by one month..

What is "TSA clearence"? never heard of it. Did the TSA do my background check when I got hired 121 a couple years ago, I thought that was done in-house. I just dont remember talking to, or sending stuff into the TSA?

I think I've met Clarence. His cousin flies for Delta, Capt Ouver or something.
