Grocery baggers with badges!!!!!

At least it gets them out of their trailer park for a few hours.

This is exactly the thing...These people were flipping burgers and sweeping floors a few years ago. The feds send them to brain wash school for a few weeks, make them think they are "the last line of defense", and BAM! We got the creepy janitor that likes to watch young girls, in a uniform with greezy hair patting down everyone at will.

They are brainless, idiotic, morons who think they actually know what they are doing. Worst of all it is all window dressing. They are simply there for the rest of society, to make them feel better and give off the impression, or as I like to call it, the "illusion" of safety.

I think it is a scam to increase U.S. consumer spending by taking my stuff and forcing me to buy more.

I know they got a job to do. But the evaluations have shown they are doing worse then pre Sept. 11th at catching prohibited items. You couldn't get a drive thru order right, know you think you can spot a bomb? What a joke. Go back to your mom's basement.

It makes me think of that 80's country song...

"Take this wand and shove it!"

Anyway, TSA is a joke.

Profile, Profile, Profile!!!

You all aren't listening. This is a government agency. It will not be efficient. Until we get away from the mindset of trying to catch "all prohibited items" we will not have security. When we finally decide to implement real security (and stop worrying about offending someone) aimed at preventing boarding of ill-intentioned persons (ooohhhh, profiling?) we will never have real security. And we will continue to go through these futile exercises of wholesale security screening that we repeat on a weekly basis.

Why do you care what the 121 guys think? Why do you care what I think? I don't care what you think. Be cool man.

Because someone piped up and said they were no different than the other pax riding in the back of the cattle cart just because we have tickets. That goes the same for the 121 person jumpseating to work, they are no better either.

The TSA agent actually took the book from me saying that it was "leftist terrorist" type propaganda that was inappropriate to have on a plane! I am still waiting for a response from TSA in DC to see if I am getting my book back.

Never have a problem with my "American Rifleman" or "Handguns" magazines.

I got news for ya bro. When you travel to work on a ticket, you are nothing special. That pair of wings on your breast means nothing.

What I want to know is when the makers of shampoo, toothpaste, mouthwash, hair gel, etc are going to start making 3 oz sizes of their products.

I am not disputing that. The truth of the matter is that the 121 people are not different when they are going to and from work in uniform than the rest of the people onboard.

I was just trying to make that point to the other poster that said I was no better, I know that already.

Hi!

I ALWAYS travel in uniform now, regardless if I'm flying, jumpseating, or on a paid ticket. I can carry all the liquids I want, I get to go through the crew lines at airports and customs, and I don't have to stop at the ticket counter, unless I have to check luggage, I'm at one of the few airports that make me carry a pass through security, or I'm jumpseating out of a foreign country.

I travelled all over carrying 2 bottles of wine in my carry-ons a while back-no problems. The only time I use my plastic bags is to hand them out to PAX who don't know the rules and need help getting through security.

So, the uniform makes it easy. I know some guys who'd rather go in civvy clothes and put up with the crap. It's a (less and less) free country.

PS-The last trip I was on I had a paid coach ticket on NWA and was in uniform. The gate agent took my ticket and checked a bunch of stuff, and then apologized profusely for not being able to get me a seat in First Class!!! I don't know where that came from! I also got bumped (along with my plain-clothes pilot sim buddy) up to first class on AirTran while on a paid coach ticket, because I was in uniform.

Or my Boston's Gun Bible :)

And whoever said something about about TSA agents' jobs gets them out of the trailerpark really offended me. They're called mobile homes, and some of my best memories of kissing my sister were in that double-wide.
