Two more comments to this issue, to the gentlemen who posed the question what is the problem with waiting in the ticket counter line, simple, waiting 20 min in a ticket counter line is the problem. I just got home to SAN last night and I came through CVG on Delta. I had to go through security again and I was allowed through with my airline ID as long as I had an addition government id as well, like drivers license etc. I had some time to kill so I stopped and talked with the supervisor on duty and asked what the standard was to get off line jump seaters through. He was under the impression that as long as you have your airline id and another id you are good to go.
That’s it, off to the beach
