Not if your shoes don't set off the metal detector. If they do then you must remove them.

Well thats what they used to do, but since this whole England/Terrorist debacle they are requiring EVERYONE to remove their shoes. I was talking to one of my 121 friends and he said that they had to throw away all their liquids and gels too.

Not true. Just got off a 4 day trip never once had to take my shoes off, and all my listerene, contact solution, toothpaste etc was let through.

They will make you take your shoes off if you are not in uniform. That confuses me because I'm using the same I.D. to get through security and wearing the same shoes as I would if I had my uniform on (which anyone could purchase).

Yeah, when I spoke with my friend, it was right afterwards. So it sounds like they have laxed a bit. :)

I very much understand the need for security. How long will the flying public put up with the outright stealing of there goods and the virtual rape of there persons? The latest scoop is that women can't wear bra's with silicone impants. They look like empty spaces just like air pillow tennis shoes. What are we paying the TSA for? Just so we can "FEEL" safe.

Anybody ever take their shoes off at security and notice their socks didn't match? I had one with a gold toe, and one without last week.

Ding Ding Ding......we have a winner. The TSA is nothing more than window dressing. Even Bush said in a speech about the TSA shortly after they were created, that we need to make the American people feel safe again.

Oh well, no bodies perfect on spelling. Now I am part Irish, and could make a coment about beaing Irish and drinking, but I won't. This place is not a bar and I really don't want to get tossed out.;)
