I am in the process of looking into buying a Travelpro crew bag and was just curious what you guys thought about the line and also what line you currently have and your thoughts and opinions.???

I guess from the research that I have done is that the Travelpro Crew 4 line is the newest.?? Also is the 22" better than the 20" in. for the money...

Bon Voyage is selling the 22" Expandable crew 4 bag for $199.00 minus a 5% crew discount for a final price of $189.00- Good or bad or any other discount companies out there that beat this price.?

Thanks ahead for the responses and a good weekend to all.

I was never too happy with my Travelpro's. I bought a Briggs and Riley and I am very happy with it. After 2 years of use one of the wheels fell off, I brought it to a store with B@R(with my recipt) and they just told me to take another one.

Good quality and better customer service, check them out.

We were issued the Travelpro Crew 4 22" bag. It is fine, but not really designed for the abuse of daily use. I had a problem with the handle in the first week I got it, but I haven't had any problems with it since. You can get some pretty good prices on Crew 4 bags online or on sale at department stores. If you want cheap, it will do fine for you. If you want quality, buy the Purdy Neat Stealth NG bag from LuggageWorks. (It's not really that much more expensive at $270 for the 23" version.) Do a search on this forum for luggage and you'll find a lot of references.

go with the purdy neat stuff steath 737 bag. I have one for over a year and it still looks new. I weigh 200 and stand on it to check the oil in the 1900.

it will be the last bag you buy.

mine was about 285.00 shipped with a monogrammed handle.

Pretty Neat Bag- worth every cent- Great reliability- Great company- if you have a problem in three years - send it back- they will give you a free rental bag - and fix yours for nada- best bag in the market- you get what you pay for- my travel pro lasted about 1 year- pretty much a disposable bag- my PNB has lasted 4.5 years of Tarmac dragging to and from the ATRs cargo bin and now has the coochie life of the ERJ - coat closet- great bag- Max

I know this is off topic, but they actually make you check the engine oil? Where is maintenance?

My last bag was a Travel Pro.....it lived about 1.5 years before the handle stopped coming up (real fun to travel with). Almost all zippers broke off/were ripped off by baggage handling.

Save your money

PCL_128, I as an FO on the mighty J-31 at Express(Pinnacle), used to check the oil all the time. It's not that unusual for some turbo-props.
