San Antonio is not a pilot base. All of the flights most likely originate from St. Louis or maybe ORD. I believe that a new hire class was cancelled this month. This is because all of us J41 guys are being displaced to the ERJ in a mass exodus starting this month and ending in August. (approx. 70 pilots to displace) I'm not sure when the next new hire class will start.

Hiring nope and not for a while. Was told not to expect any new hire classes until November. SAT as a base nope....and proabably not gonna happend anytime soon. Only 2 bases are still RIC and STL. With morale down to a low and displacements taking place and hearing that CHQ got the 69 COEX jets I look to see some people really jumping ship. I would say that most that leave will be FOs so there still wont be that much movement in the company.

Why would you want to go to TSA? Very few people who work here like it, a lot of FOs are doing what they can to get out (and not just the really junior ones, either). People are starting to wonder if the company will even be around in a few years.

And San Antonio isn't and probably won't be a crew base (someone said that GJ is getting ready to take it over). Scheduling is going nuts trying to get people down there to cover problems that arise.
