I have a buddy that got a job offer from Transair out of Hawaii flying shorts. Anyone have any info good or bad about Transair? Thanks in advance.

I worked there 10 years ago flying the SD360. At the time it was all night freight - they had a US mail contract, a contract for newspapers, fresh bread, and fish, as well as assorted bulk cargo. (I know they do pax charter as well today)

At the time I enjoyed it, liked the guys and gals I worked with. It was better than some of the other 135 operators in Honolulu, the pay was OK, and they looked after the aircraft.

I know a lot has changed since I left, but probably still a good place to build turbine time. Most of the guys I flew with left there for Aloha or Hawaiian.

If Bill S. is still there as CP, he is a good guy.
