Gotta tell ya...we're wildly curious, too. We also kind of want to know where the 737's will go and where you guys live. I believe SWAPA knows but they have not told us.

So far every 71 CA I fly with is bidding SW 737 to get the SW ID. The fear is a furlough out of seniority when GK decides to park the 717.

Might be good for 71 FO if this opens up lots of upgrade slots but I am sure there is some type of seat lock to save training costs.

What could SWAPA do to prevent mass exodus from 717? Maybe pay the same as 737 but that water is under bridge and evaoporated. It would be nice also in your future negotiations to help get 717 pay back since we will be part of the culture club by then.

Looking forward to taking the first offer in future negotiations. I think there will be 1700+ yes votes if we get to play by then.

The 717 and 737 pay the same if you're WN......... or in 2015.

I was hoping the 717 would go senior since I can't imagine your top dogs commuting to OAK just to be a co pilot.

Gup

I'd say that fear will be realized sooner than later.

The top dogs wont have to commute to OAK they will go from senior AT CP to Senior SWA FO at almost the same pay. In 2015 they will bid back to 737 CP when your retirements kick in.

But they will bid SWA FO with current vacancy rules...just like a newhire. They can't bump anyone out of a base. They'll have to wait for a vacancy to get into their desired base if it's a static or shrinking one.
