alaska? no goofball, San Antonio...geez

but...there is a new ad on climto350 for pilots in Alaska that have 700TT and CFII

Island Air Service is a scheduled air carrier based in Kodiak, Alaska. Full time entry level pilot positions are currently available flying single-engine land aircraft, with progression to multi-engine. Applicants should meet the following requirements: Current, working Instrument Instructor with a Multi-Engine rating, College degree (4 year preferred), 700 hours total time, Send or Fax resume to: Chief Pilot. When applying, ref: climbto350.com. NO CALLS!!

My point was that I would be willing to move all the way to AK for a job. SAT is perfect. I even have family there.

Looking forward to hearing about it.

I don't know if it is still the same company or not...but the last guy I knew that was flying traffic watch in AUS wasn't getting paid. Hopefully things have changed - that was 3 years ago. If you can find a t.w. job flying full time TAKE IT!! Ditch the CFI job (12 hrs at the airport / 1.2 hrs flight time) and build the 1200 as fast as you can. Yeah, sure you learn from teaching but your education really doesn't start until you are flying single pilot in the soup.

Last report I heard was the pilot earned $12 per hour and flew from 6-8am and then again at 4-6pm.

Not too shabby. I could still instruct and get consistent flight time.

Well Scoot it looks like if you find out who does the flying out there, it's all yours.
Gotta love technology...this board makes it possible to find work (or the hope of work) even when times are as bad as they are.
