Just got an email with pictures of a wrecked 747 that went off the runway, and want to know when did this happen? Is the crew oaky, what was the cause ???

2 wrecks in less than a week:crying:

Must have been the same email I got. I guess it's too early to know, seems like it happened early this morning.

Heard through work that it was an aborted takeoff after engine failure. I think it happened this morning.

When was the other one?

I believe he might be referring to the Arrow DC-10 in Managua earlier this week.

I am very sorry to see that happen at two airlines in two days. I hope the Tradewinds crew is safe and uninjured. Where did this happen?

MDE

I have heard that the MIA FSDO will be out in force as far as ramp checks and observation rides. This is the third a/c in two years involved in an overrun incident that originated in MIA.
